00:11 – So let’s talk about what UAT is first. That is user acceptance testing phase. This is the time in which the stakeholders of the business

00:20 – are the ones that do the final round of testing prior to launching a product, a site to production for your customers to use.

00:32 – So I want you to think about when you’re filling out information on the defect that you encountered, the more detail that you put into that defect,

00:41- the lower the time that is required to triage that ticket. And typically you have your technical architect, your functional analyst, your QA analyst

00:51 – that are involved in doing that triaging. So the more information you provide, the more efficient you become. Think This when you have an example like add item

01:04 – to cart, if I just write that down, it won’t be enough information. You need to think about where you were at the time.

01:12 – You want to capture all the screenshots or recordings that you can including in the URL if there’s a URL that’s applicable to the test.

01:20 – and then you want to make sure that you identify what the item is. Have you tried multiple items and still encounter that same issue with adding

01:29 – that product to cart? The more you put in, the more quality of a defect that you have, the quicker that resolution time.

01:40 – Think about those people that are sitting and triaging that ticket. Can we get that resolved in one minute on triaging

01:48 – that ticket and get it to resolution? Or will it take us a few minutes times to few people to get to that resolution, spend that time, put that quality in, and we will get to defect resolution as quickly as we can.
