00:11 – Deployments promote changes to your ecommerce site. Changes could be new features, for example, a wallet functionality to save your cards, or a bug fix where
00:22 – You were not able to export order history, and after the deployment, you are able to. Use Recreate for big changes like migration or upgrades.
00:36 – Use Rolling for minor changes like front end related. Blue-green is suitable for front end, API, minor, and new database changes.
00:45 – Finally, remember to select the DRY strategy because that’s the success for your ecommerce site. Recreate usually shows a maintenance window
00:57 – and you are not able to look around the site. That happens in non-business hours and the site is down.
01:04 – Second one: Rolling. It’s for minor changes. Let’s say from one minute to another, you see a new dark theme. And the third one, Blue-green.
01:16 – On the green URL you are able to preview the site and test it. Meanwhile, your blue URL, your live site is still correct.
